Share

Police in Barrie hope to identify an individual accused of stealing a poppy box, containing roughly $50 in donations.

The alleged theft happened last week on Thursday around 9:20 p.m. at the Domino’s Pizza on Leacock Drive.

Surveillance footage appears to show a male making his way to the front counter, grabbing the poppy box and putting it into a bag before leaving the store.

The accused wore a Lakers ballcap, and a purple Champion tracksuit.

The incident was reported to police on Wednesday after a woman with the local legion arrived to collect the box and noticed it missing.

Police ask anyone with information to contact the authorities.
