Pickup truck struck 2 pedestrians in Barrie’s west end
Two people have been taken to hospital after being struck by a pickup truck Wednesday night.

Barrie Police Service reports getting a call about the incident at Mapleton Avenue and Veterans Drive at about 6:15 p.m.
Police say both pedestrians were taken to hospital, one has serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the pickup remained at the scene.
Veterans Drive was closed between Caplan Avenue and Harvie Road as the traffic unit investigated the scene of the collision.
The investigation remains ongoing.
