For a second time this week, wild boars have been spotted in Caledon.

Provincial police say the boars were spotted by residents living in the areas of Sunshine Mountain Drive, Innis Lake Road and Finnerty Side Road on Saturday.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is asking residents not to approach the animals and to treat them like other wildlife.  The ministry says wild boars can be dangerous if cornered.

A pair of boars were spotted on July 19 in Caledon East roaming through the neighbourhood of Centreville Creek Road.

Anyone who spots a wild boar is asked to contact police immediately as there is a risk the animals could spread diseases to livestock or crops.
