Provincial police are investigating an incident involving a machete, a landlord and his tenant in Oro-Medonte.

Police say officers were called to a Penetanguishene Road residence Saturday night after the tenant left his unit and allegedly brandished a machete at another individual.

It’s unclear what the dispute was over.

Police charged the 41-year-old accused with possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

He was held for a bail hearing.

The Orillia OPP considers this an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety.
