OPP say a 39-year-old man, who was later confirmed to be the homeowner, was located in the garage of the single-story detached bungalow.
The man was triaged and taken to an area hospital by paramedics but was later pronounced dead by medical staff.
Police say foul play is not suspected; however, an investigation will be conducted by the Office of Ontario Fire Marshal.
A post-mortem will be conducted by the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service to determine the cause of death.
