Beatrice Vaisman

Videographer, CTV News Barrie
Beatrice Vaisman

November, 2019: Beatrice Vaisman is no longer with CTV Barrie.

Beatrice Vaisman joined the CTV Barrie team in August 2017 as a videographer.

She arrived at the station from CP24, where she worked on the assignment team, dispatching reporters and cameras across Toronto. The fast-paced and high-stress environment solidified her passion for breaking news, and she knew she had to get back out into the field to tell stories families would talk about at the dinner table.

Beatrice got her start in journalism at Sun Media as a chase producer and writer, and since then she has done a little bit of everything. As an anchor, she guided viewers through three hours of live coverage during the October 2014 shooting on Parliament Hill. She has a passion for politics, and especially enjoys holding elected officials accountable for their decisions. She has reported on numerous municipal, provincial, and federal elections, as well as covered local response to major national and international stories like the Egyptian uprising.

Beatrice grew up in York Region, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations, and a diploma in Broadcast Journalism from Seneca College.

Aside from storytelling, Beatrice is passionate about living a healthy, active lifestyle. She also has a zest for globetrotting, and her adventures have taken her to more than two dozen countries, including a six-week trek across New Zealand.
