Man wins $100K lottery after playing for almost 50 years
For almost 50 years, Sidney Hutchinson has been hoping a little windfall would come his way with his lucky Lotto 6/49 tickets.
September 21 was that day.
"When I saw that I had won, I said, 'Holy mackerel.' It was a one in a million chance, and I won," Hutchinson said while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.
"I'm so happy. It feels great to win!"

Hutchinson, a proud great-grandfather in Port McNicoll, has been playing the lottery with OLG since 1975. He picks up tickets from time to time, always making sure to add an Encore ticket.
Five weeks ago, the Encore paid off when he matched six of seven numbers.
Hutchinson plans to invest his windfall. "I'll make sure that this win lasts for a long time"” he said.
The winning ticket was purchased at Garrett's Convenience on Talbot Street in Port McNicoll.
