Napoleon Home Comfort operations has expanded with the company officially opening its new 270, 000 square foot logistics building near Barrie.
“We’ve consolidated all of our other local facilities to allow us to expand our manufacturing and allow us to provide better customer service for years to come,” said Steve Gauci, who is the director of operations.
The Oro-Medonte based BBQ and fireplace manufacturer was founded by Wolfgang Schroeter back in 1976.
He started the business by selling wood stoves. Napoleon has expanded and grown into an international company.
“I think it’s a total of 17 countries we’re in; as far south as New Zealand and over to Europe,” said Gauci.
The company is expecting more growth with this new logistics building.
“We’re growing at a rate of 15% to 20% per year,” said Gauci.
Napoleon opened a similar sized building in Europe two months ago.
