Large fire at tent encampment in Barrie
Fire crews worked to extinguish a fire at a tent encampment in Barrie on Sunday.
Fire officials said firefighters arrived at the scene just after 3 p.m. and found flames from the encampment set up at an unoccupied lot between Toronto Street and Bradford Street.
It took crews 30 minutes to extinguish the blaze, and officials say no one was inside the encampment at the time of the blaze.
No injuries were reported and fire officials say the blaze is not suspicious.
