Jogger seeks dog that bit him
Gord Bambrick was out jogging when he was bitten by a large dog Thursday at 5:15 p.m.
The time and whereabouts matter – he was on the sidewalk of Cox Mill Road and Hurst Street in Barrie – because without proof of the dog’s vaccination, Bambrick will have to undergo painful rabies treatment.
“I veered to go well around the man on the lawn but the dog lunged and bit my wrist,” Bambrick said. “I did not realize that I was cut at the time, but went to the clinic and now will need to get the rabies treatment unless the owner is located and we can get proof of vaccination.”

He said the dog was a mid-sized German Shepherd capable of pulling the human who was holding the leash.
The owner is described as a slim man, five foot eight inches, with long black hair and moustache with a dark complexion.
The owner of the dog is asked to call Simcoe Animal Control with proof of the dog’s vaccination at 705-726-4242, ext. 0 as soon as possible.
