There will be more peak period Go Train service on the Barrie line effective September 2.
Metrolinx announced Wednesday that two new departures will be added on weekday morning from the Allandale and Barrie South Stations.That means commuters will able to depart every 15 minutes during the morning rush.
In addition, one new morning and one new afternoon trip will be added father down the line between Bradford and Union Station.
"Providing more train and bus service on our most in-demand routes is just one more way we are making transit a convenient choice for commuters,” said John Jensen, Metrolinx President and CEO. “These new Barrie GO train trips also bring us one step closer to our goal of transforming the GO rail network to provide faster and more frequent rail service throughout the entire region."
