Food cards stolen from church days after Christmas givings

St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Victoria Harbour was broken into just days after Christmas services.

Police received a call from a staff member at the church saying someone had smashed a window, entered the church, and made off with $1,500 worth of grocery gift cards.

The gift cards are valued at $30 and $60 and are cashable at Foodland and No Frills stores.

Investigators would welcome any information about the person(s) responsible for this theft or their location or the return of the stolen property.
