Police in Owen Sound responded to a vehicle rollover where a driver reportedly lost control on a slippery road Friday evening.

According to the Owen Sound Police Service, a vehicle was travelling northbound around the 500 block of 9th Avenue East when it encountered wet and slippery road conditions.

Police say the male driver from Owen Sound crossed their vehicle into the oncoming lane and struck the curb, causing it to roll onto its side in the ditch.

Police confirm that the driver was the only occupant and remained uninjured thanks to proper use of his seatbelt, and that no other vehicles were involved. However, police say his vehicle sustained major damage.

Owen Sound Police officers and firefighters remained on scene while the vehicle was pulled from the ditch.
