Share

A driver was pulled over and charged after passing a snow plow in front of an oncoming OPP vehicle.

Provincial police posted the officer’s dash camera footage to social media following the incident Thursday afternoon, showing the oncoming vehicle overtaking the snow plow and getting back into its lane just before the OPP vehicle approaches.

“Luckily this experienced Dufferin OPP officer saw the snow plow and anticipated the impatience of drivers, prompting him to slow down upon approach,” the OPP stated in the post.

“Finally!!!... Officer right time right place,” commented one person on the OPP post.

“Good! Glad the driver was caught and charged,” another added.

Provincial police remind motorists to stay behind snow plows and keep a safe distance.

“Wait for clear conditions before attempting to pass… TIP … this is not it!” the service concluded.

The motorist was charged with careless driving.
