In cooperation with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, the hospital is taking precautionary measures to deal with the outbreak.

A press release from the hospital states “All patients on the unit have been swabbed, impacted patients have been isolated, and enhanced cleaning measures have been implemented.”

The hospital has put visitor restrictions in place for the medical unit, except in the case of palliative end of life patients and essential caregivers, which have been approved by the department manager or resource nurse.
