CFB Borden officials issued a reminder to the public on Thursday about blank artillery rounds getting fired during their upcoming Remembrance Day ceremony on Monday.

In a public service announcement, base officials stated that residents of CFB Borden and Angus are to be aware that the rounds will be fired at 11 a.m. and 11:02 a.m. A loud percussive sound can be expected followed by echoing, which could be startling to residents in the vicinity.

The Remembrance Day ceremony is scheduled for Monday from 10:15 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Borden Legacy Park.
