A tournament in Sin City led to a $10,000 bonus for five women from Barrie, Ont.

The local team, known as "We the North", secured victory in the 2024 APA Ladies 8-Ball Championship in August.

The team consisting of Jenn Cook, Sue Brouwer, Kelly Morris, Jane Leduc, and Charissa Elliott was one of 256 teams to qualify for the American Poolplayers Association’s (APA) Ladies 8-Ball Championship.
