The Barrie Colts will be looking for redemption when they face off against the North Bay Battalion in the second round of the OHL Playoffs.

The Battalion have eliminated the Colts from the playoffs the past two seasons.

Barrie advanced after winning game 7 of their opening playoff series against the Mississauga Steelheads Tuesday night.

Mississauga opened the scoring late in the second period with Michael McLeod beating Mackenzie Blackwood.

The Steelheads carried the lead into the third, but the Colts offence exploded with five goals, including a hat trick from forward Justin Scott.

"That was a huge, character win for us," said Scott. " I have to give a lot of credit to my linemates.”

The Colts now prepare to take on the Battalion starting Thursday night in Barrie.
