Provincial police have made an arrest in connection to the stabbing death of a man in Wasaga Beach over the Victoria Day long weekend.
Huronia West OPP says they have arrested and charged a 21-year-old Wasaga Beach man with second-degree murder in connection to the death of Erick Tellos-Arias.
Tellos-Arias, a 23-year-old from Caledon, died of an apparent stab wound on May 23. The stabbing happened on Main Street, at around 3:30 a.m.
The identity of the accused was not released. He will appear in court on Wednesday for a bail hearing.
The investigation into the stabbing death of 18-year-old Francesco Molinaro is still ongoing.
According to the OPP, Molinaro, who is also from Caledon, was stabbed to death in front of the Pizza Pizza on Mosley Street in Wasaga Beach on May 21.
Police have not provided an update on that investigation, but previously said they believe the two deaths were unrelated.
