Four people have been arrested and police are still looking for two others after a search of an Innisfil home found $700,000 worth of marijuana.
Detectives with South Simcoe Police executed a search warrant at thehome on Killarney Beach Road near Lefroy on Wednesday.
During the search, police discovered what they are calling a ‘sophisticated’ grow operation inside the home.
Four men were caught in the process of harvesting and processing the drugs when the raid occurred.
Police discovered over 75 kilograms of dried marijuana inside a drying room and 37 marijuana plants were also found.
The plants, product and equipment were all seized along with over $6,000 in cash, a vial of hash oil and six grams of cocaine.
A 69-year-old Innisfil man, two Toronto men, 40 & 51, and a 40-year-old Scarborough man have all been charged with cultivation, possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a controlled substance.
Police have also issued arrest warrants for a 40-year-old Innisfil man and a 22-year-old Innisfil woman whom they believe are the ringleaders of the operation.
