A unique partnership will help to address the health care needs of one of Canada’s fastest-growing communities, Bradford West Gwillimbury.

The Town of Bradford sealed the partnership with Southlake Health, and the Northern York South Simcoe Ontario Health Team (NYSS OHT) on Friday with the signing of a memorandum of understanding.

The agreement establishes a shared commitment to improve access to care, expand programs, and address gaps in services for Bradford residents.

The memorandum outlines five key areas, including increasing health care service capacity, expanding health and wellness programs, advocating for investments, sharing data responsibly, and exploring research partnerships.

York-Simcoe MPP Caroline Mulroney attended the announcement and highlighted the provincial government’s support.

“Today’s announcement reflects a strong partnership in our community to deliver care to those who need it most,” said Mulroney. “Our government will continue to explore innovative and creative health care solutions for residents and their families as we build up our health care system for the next generation.”

“Together, we will build a stronger, healthier future for our residents, ensuring that no one is left behind as we continue to expand services and support wellness at every level,” stated Bradford Mayor James Leduc.
