A tow operator in the Peel region was charged by OPP this week for allegedly being in possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

Caledon OPP say they received reports on Tuesday about an individual who was operating a tow truck and involved in criminal activity. The investigation led to officers seizing a quantity of drugs that were in the individual’s possession, which were believed to be for the purpose of trafficking.

A 30-year-old from Brampton was charged with heroin possession for the purpose of trafficking.

The accused is scheduled for a December court date in Orangeville to answer to the charge.
