It’s going to warm up, but along with those higher temperatures could come another big snowstorm.

Our entire region is under a snowfall warning, and Environment Canada says people should be on the lookout for adverse weather conditions and take safety precautions.

The warning affects Barrie-Orillia-Midland, Grey-Bruce, Parry Sound-Muskoka, Dufferin-Innisfil, and York-Durham.

CTV Barrie weather specialist Bob McIntyre says we should expect between 10 and 15 centimetres of snow. The worst of the storm should hit Saturday afternoon into Saturday evening, and the storm could continue into Sunday morning.

McIntyre says a Texas low brings gulf moisture north and can gather moisture from any Great Lakes that are still unfrozen along the way. It's a common storm, and McIntyre says this one is shaping up to be average for the season.

The City of Barrie tells CTV News they have been working to schedule staff and have them in place in case the storm brings a lot of snow to the c

The warning comes just as Dufferin County, which was placed under a state of emergency yesterday after days of blowing snow, is finding some relief. The county has been hard hit, with snow squalls and blowing snow, and in one case hundreds of cars were stranded and people were sent to shelters after drifts consumed roads near Shelburne.

A state of emergency in Dufferin County is being lifted in some areas today; Orangeville and East Garafraxa are two communities that had the advisory lifted.

Environment Canada says this next storm could bring heavy snow in the amount of about 15 centimetres. It also comes with a risk of freezing rain late Saturday evening, and winds of about 20 kilometres per hour.
