Provincial police are renewing their appeal for help locating an Alliston man who vanished over a year ago.

Police believe Derek Perry went missing sometime in mid-June 2023 and little is known about his disappearance.

Perry is five feet 11 inches tall with a medium build and short brown hair.

It's unknown exactly when he was last seen, and whether he was in a vehicle or not.

Police say they discovered Perry was missing when officers were called to do a well-being check on the 34-year-old man.

Investigators say they are concerned about Perry and ask anyone with information to contact them as they continue to actively seek tips about his whereabouts.

Last year, police said Perry could be in Simcoe County, namely the Barrie or Alliston areas.

"The OPP is determined to bring resolution to Derek's loved ones, who are deeply missing him this time of the year. Anyone with information, no matter how small, is urged to come forward in hopes of reconnecting Derek with family and friends," said OPP Det. Insp. Jane Conway.

Anyone with information on the case is urged to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous.
