Curtis Gamble, 22, will spend several more years behind bars after being sentenced for crimes against five young girls when he was 19.
The Innisfil man was handed an eight-year sentence, less pre-sentence time served, after pleading guilty to nine counts of sex crimes involving girls between 12 and 14.
He will serve just over five years in jail and will be on the sex offender registry for 20 years.
The Crown had sought 10 years in custody, while the defence argued for a seven-year sentence.

The court heard Gamble chose his young victims because they were easy to control and intimidate.
Investigators said that he used social media platforms, including Discord, Snapchat, Instagram and X-Box Live, to lure his victims with the username 'emptygoatdemon' and sexually assault them.
The court heard he lied about his age, telling the girls he was 16.
He also admitted to making and distributing child pornography.
"He got what he deserved," Gamble's mother, Joy Gamble, said after leaving the Barrie courthouse following his sentencing. "As long as he gets the help within the prison system, that's all I really want for him."
Gamble's mother then addressed her son's victims.
"I wish them well and am sorry any of this has to happen, but I will, I guarantee you, his father and I will always make sure he gets the mental help he will need. We're going to do our best to make this right."
