Aurora-Oak Ridges-Richmond Hill is one of the new ridings added to this year’s provincial election. The riding is an amalgamation between the old riding of Oak Ridges-Markham and Newmarket-Aurora.

Helena Jaczek won the riding of Oak Ridges-Markham for the Liberals in 2004, taking 45.55 per cent of the vote. She is now running for the Liberals in the riding of Markham-Stouffville.

Liberal Chris Ballard won the 2014 election in Newmarket-Aurora with 43.94 per cent of the vote. He’s seeking another term as MPP in the riding.
