Multi-vehicle crash on Highway 400 slows drive for commuters

Traffic along Highway 400 through Innisfil was slow-going during rush hour Tuesday morning following a multi-vehicle collision in the southbound lanes.

The crash involving three vehicles happened near Highway 89, causing a two-lane closure around 6:30 a.m.

Provincial police managed to open one lane a short time later, moving traffic at a crawl through the two right lanes by the Tanger Outlets in Cookstown.

OPP Sgt. Ted Dongelman's told CTV News one person suffered minor injuries.

There is no word on what caused the crash or if any charges will be laid.

The situation was cleared shortly after 8:30 a.m.
