TORONTO -- Liberal Premier Kathleen Wynne says despite a spate of bad polling for her party, she's not giving up in this election.

Polls consistently have the Liberals trailing the Progressive Conservatives and the NDP, with the most recent ones showing them with less than 20 per cent support.

Asked about those numbers today, Wynne says she's not prepared to "sit this one out" because the polls are bad.

She says the economy is thriving, which she says means her plan is working and she wants to continue to build the province.

A new poll is suggesting the NDP has pulled ahead of the Tories, but New Democrat Leader Andrea Horwath says that's not her focus.

She says there's a sense of excitement in Ontario that people don't have to settle for the two parties that have led the province for the last two and a half decades.
