Woman dies in two-vehicle crash on Highway 118 in Haliburton
An 87-year-old woman has died following a collision on Highway 118 in Haliburton County on Monday afternoon.
Provincial police and emergency services responded to the crash between a passenger vehicle and a pickup truck near Shamba Trail shortly after 2:30 p.m.
Police say the two drivers were the only occupants in the involved vehicles.

The woman was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The pickup truck driver was also taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
Police closed the roads for several hours for the investigation and cleanup.
The highway reopened roughly six hours later.
Anyone with information, including dash camera footage of the collision is asked to contact the Haliburton Highlands OPP.
