A woman from Orangeville accused of blowing four times over the legal alcohol limit after being stopped on Monday afternoon is facing charges.

According to provincial police, a complaint came in from the public around 4 p.m. about a possibly impaired driver.

Officers located the vehicle in the area of Broadway and launched an investigation.

“Any amount of alcohol or drugs can impact your ability to make sound judgements. In a split second you could ruin your future, injure or kill others, and tear a hole in the heart of everyone who loves you,” provincial police stated in a release about the incident.

The 54-year-old woman is scheduled to appear in court to answer to the charges.

Additionally, her driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
