Police in Barrie arrested a woman with driving impaired after two vehicles were struck Wednesday afternoon.

The 59-year-old woman is accused of crashing into a vehicle on Golds Crescent and then hitting another vehicle in a driveway on the same street.

No injuries were reported.

"After a brief conversation with the driver, police determined that she was impaired, and she was placed under arrest," police stated in the release issued Thursday.

The accused was brought to the police station, where police say it was determined her "level of impairment was almost five times over the legal limit."

She was released from police custody with a future court date to answer to the impaired driving charge.
