A man faces impaired driving charges after allegedly blowing three times the legal limit.

Shortly after 2 p.m. on Friday, Caledon Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call about a suspicious driver.

Police located the driver on Horseshoe Hill Road, near Beech Grove Side Road in Caledon.

Officers formed grounds that the driver's ability to operate a car was impaired by alcohol and he was subsequently arrested.

A 30-year-old Waterloo man was charged with impaired driving charges as well as having open liquor readily available in the vehicle.

The accused is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on September 12. His driver's licence was suspended for 90 days, and his vehicle impounded for seven days.

If you suspect someone is driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs, call 911. You can also provide information anonymously by contacting Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online.
