Three teens arrested for allegedly starting grass fire in Barrie
Three teens have been arrested after allegedly starting a grass fire in Barrie.
Barrie police say the fire broke out on Saturday night, along the bush in Lover’s Creek, near Grace Crescent. The fire consumed a “considerable” portion of grass, before being extinguished by firefighters.
Officers were notified about the three boys and located them a short time later at a nearby home. The 15-year-olds were arrested and charged with arson.
They have since been released to their parents and will appear before a court at a future date.
