Teen arrested in connection to threat made toward high school: OPP

Provincial police arrested a 17-year-old from Bolton accused of making a threat toward a local high school.
According to police, officers learned of a social media post on Wednesday morning that was of a threatening nature directed at St. Michael Catholic Secondary School in Bolton.

Provincial police launched an investigation and said they quickly identified the source of the alleged threat, who was placed in custody.
The teen is charged with criminal harassment, uttering threats, and mischief.
He has a court appearance scheduled for a later date.
The teen’s identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
“The OPP take all public safety threats seriously and provide resources necessary to assess and respond to such threats,” police stated.
The investigation is ongoing.
