Suspended G1 driver faces criminal charges after traffic stop turns into drug bust: OPP

Provincial police say an officer pulled over a vehicle for speeding on Yonge Street in Midland, which led to the seizure of a large amount of street drugs, cash, and weapons and resulted in criminal charges.
Police say two officers with the Southern Georgian Bay OPP detachment made the routine traffic stop, but it soon turned into a drug investigation.

The officers allegedly found various substances, including methamphetamine, oxycodone, heroin, psilocybin, and cocaine, as well as drug paraphernalia.
Police also said they recovered a BB pistol that resembled a .45 calibre handgun.
A 35-year-old man from Midland was arrested and charged with several drug, weapons and court-related offences.
He was also charged with multiple traffic violations, including driving while suspended, failing to produce a permit, being a G1 licence holder unaccompanied by a qualified driver, and driving without insurance.
