A Barrie man charged in a double murder case made a brief court appearance Wednesday via video.
Robert Twiss, 45, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, indignity to a body and flight from police in the deaths of 73-year-old Alan Mallinson, 73 and his son 39-year-old Matthew Mallinson.
The father and son's bodies were found in a home on Eden Drive on Jan. 26. Investigators believed the bodies may have been dead for four or five days.
According to police, Twiss also lived at the residence.
A post-mortem exam determined that both victims died as a result of being stabbed.
Twiss remains in custody and has not entered a plea yet. Lawyers asked for the case to be put over until later this month.
Twiss next court appearance will be on Feb. 16.
