Suspect charged with series of break-ins and robberies in Gravenhurst

Provincial police arrested a man in connection with a rash of break-ins and robberies in Gravenhurst.

Police have been investigating the crimes that allegedly started in August along Highway 11 North and South between Kilworthy Road and Highway 118 East.

Police say they identified one suspect on Wednesday and executed a search warrant at a home on Ure Road, taking the accused, a 23-year-old man, into custody.

He is charged with three counts of break-and-enter, three counts of robbery, two counts of theft under $5,000, and possession of property obtained by crime.

Police are continuing the investigation and ask anyone with information to contact the Bracebridge OPP.
