Six arrested, loaded gun seized in Barrie drug bust

Six people were arrested on Wednesday afternoon following an investigation into suspected drug trafficking in the north end of Barrie.
Police executed a search warrant in a unit at an apartment complex and allegedly seized cocaine and fentanyl.

Officers arrested two men allegedly tied to the investigation at a nearby plaza and at a shopping mall on Bayfield Street.
Police say when they were arrested, both were found to have drugs, and one was carrying a loaded handgun.
In all, three males and three females now face charges related to possession and trafficking offences.
