A band of heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms moved through our region on Wednesday night into Thursday morning which resulted in a significant amount of rain.

Heavy rain flooded roads and made driving and walking difficult in the region.

The OPP were forced to close down the northbound lanes of Highway 400 north of Canal Road due to flooding. The road closure lasted for over two hours.
