Secret drug lab discovered in Walkerton: OPP
Police say officers have dismantled a clandestine drug laboratory in Walkerton.
Provincial police were called to investigate an alleged assault involving a firearm on September 9. Police say the accused and the victim are known to each other, and it was believed to be an isolated incident.
Two days later, police executed a search warrant at an address in Walkerton.
During the investigation of the building, a clandestine drug laboratory was discovered.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) specialty units, in collaboration with assisting agencies, safely dismantled the lab.

Police allege they seized a .22 calibre handgun, a quantity of suspected MDMA, precursors for drug production, as well as several pieces of production equipment.
The combined estimated street value of the seized controlled substances is about $25,000.
A 51-year-old Walkerton resident faces multiple charges, including weapons and drugs-related offences.
The accused was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice on Friday.
