A Bradford man who pleaded guilty to child pornography charges has been handed a prison sentence.

On Monday, a judge sentenced Justin Salvanera to 13 months in prison and extended his probation. The judge took into account Salvanera’s house arrest, which took five months off his sentence.

Salvanera pleaded guilty to making child pornography, possessing child pornography and intent to obtain child pornography by threats in October 2015.

He was arrested in the fall of 2014 and was originally facing 61 charges.

The judge also ruled that Salvanera can’t use the internet except for his employment or education.  He will also continue his counselling.

Salvanera’s parents declined to comment after the sentencing.
