RVH has opened the Simcoe Pod as the RVH's Satellite Radiation Therapy Unit.

As part of the Hudson Regional Cancer Program, the Simcoe Pod will ensure continuity of care for the region's cancer patients as RVH replaces three of four Linear Accelerators (LINACs).

Located just outside the Simcoe Entrance of RVH, the Simcoe Pod building was Canada's first modular radiation treatment unit, operating from 2008 until the Cancer Centre opened in 2012.

The revitalized Simcoe Pod allows the Hudson Regional Cancer Program to continue meeting the needs of patients and creates an opportunity to add a permanent, much-needed fifth LINAC.
