A recount for the federal election results in Barrie-Springwater-Oro-Medonte will be held in Barrie next week.

The decision setting the timeframe for the physical recount was made in a Barrie courtroom on Friday morning.

Liberal candidate Brian Tamblyn lost the new riding to Conservative Alex Nuttall by just 110 votes.

On Monday, a judge granted the recount after the Liberal Party argued there were a significant number of rejected and spoiled ballots, which they felt were not properly handled.

The recount will start at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday November 4, 2015 and will continue the matter is completed.

Both Tamblyn and Nuttall will each have 22 scrutineers who must agree on the ballot.  Elections Canadaofficials will record the voteduring the process.
