Radiothon raises close to $90K for RVH patient care
Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) officials announced this week that more than $88,000 was raised in their third annual ‘Keep Life Wild’ radiothon.
As patient stories were shared on Bounce 104.1 and Pure Country 106 this past Tuesday, donors from across Simcoe Muskoka supported the cause in-person, online and by calling in.
The broadcast ran from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., reportedly raising $81,000 during the live show. Donations that continued throughout the night helped the total exceed $88,000 according to RVH officials.

Mary Anne Frith, chair of the ‘Keep Life Wild’ campaign and vice-chair of the RVH Foundation’s board of directors, shared her excitement in a media release.
“We’re absolutely thrilled with the support from our community this holiday season,” stated Frith. “This year has been tough economically, so seeing so many step up for RVH patients—giving whatever they could—is truly inspiring.”
PureHealth Pharmacy returned as a broadcast sponsor and matched all gifts during the day up to $50,000.
RVH officials say the funds raised from the radiothon will support clinical programs at RVH, including cancer, cardiac, kidney care, mental health, trauma, and stroke care, while making advanced care more accessible closer to home.
“Every gift makes a difference,” added Frith. “With mail delays, we’re especially grateful to our radio partners for helping us show how donor support impacts patient care and offering the community another way to give back.”
Anyone interested in supporting RVH care during the holiday season is encouraged to donate via the ‘Keep Life Wild’ website or by calling in before December 31.
