Ontario Provincial Police are searching for a missing woman who was last seen canoeing near Dorset, Ontario.
Police were told 18-year-old Sophie Smith of London, Ontario had problems with her boat on Kawagama Lake Friday afternoon.
She was assisted by area residents and transported to a safe location at the narrows between Kawagama Lake and Bear Lake.
O.P.P. was later told she did not return to her residence.
Smith was last seen paddling her canoe on the north east area of Kawagama Lake. She is described as 5’8”, medium build with short blonde hair. Smith was last seen wearing a grey sweater, black shorts and a green bandana.
