Police push for answers in unsolved Victoria Harbour homicide
Police are driving attention to an unsolved homicide that happened in broad daylight over a year ago in Tay Township in hopes someone holds the key that can move the case forward.
On the afternoon of August 17, 2023, Jamie 'Bubba' Miller, 41, was gunned down in his driveway on Maple Street near Park Street in Victoria Harbour.
Several people ran to his aid, including neighbour Ron Bowen."I talked to him right until the police came. I asked his name, how old he was, kept on talking to him while my wife was taking his vitals."
Miller was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition. He died of his injuries a week later.

Witnesses reported hearing 10 to 12 gunshots around 2 p.m., and police said they were searching for a black four-door sedan seen fleeing the scene.
Authorities confirmed the incident was isolated.
Miller, a husband and father, was the owner of a pizza shop at the corner of Maple and Park Streets.
Despite a massive police search on the ground and in the air following the shooting, no suspects were arrested.
The area has seen several suspected targeted shootings in recent years, though police have not confirmed any of the incidents are connected.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and urge anyone with information on the case to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or via email.
"Videos that can assist this investigation, including but not limited to dash cam and surveillance footage, can be submitted online," the service noted.
Additionally, anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
