A police helicopter is being deployed in the search for a missing boater outside Owen Sound.
Provincial police say the boater was last seen early Thursday night on the Sauble River in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula.
An underwater search-and-rescue team scoured the fast moving and muddy waters earlier.
Members of the boater's family are joining officers in a ground search.
The boater's name is not being released.
