Police appeal for witnesses to serious Innisfil e-bike collision

Police in Innisfil are appealing for witnesses to a serious e-bike collision that left the rider with serious injuries.

South Simcoe police say the crash happened on Innisfil Beach Road, east of the 20th Sideroad, around 4:30 p.m. on Fri., Aug. 30.

Officers arrived to find the rider, whose identity was not revealed, unconscious.

Police say the individual was rushed to a local hospital and later flown to a Toronto hospital by air ambulance.

"The driver is now stable and is expected to make a full recovery," police noted on Wednesday.

Authorities confirmed the e-bike was the only vehicle involved in the collision.
