Police are investigating an overnight fail-to-remain collision after a pedestrian was struck in Midland.

Officers responded to a report of a crash involving a pickup truck and a pedestrian in a convenience store parking lot on Midland Avenue around 3:20 a.m.

Police say the vehicle and pedestrian fled the scene before officers arrived. However, it is believed that a man was struck by the truck, described as a white Dodge pickup, resulting in significant injuries.

Investigators are looking to locate the pedestrian, who will likely need medical treatment.

The OPP's Major Crime Unit is investigating and would like to speak with residents who may know the driver involved or have information on the case.
