Pedestrian killed in train collision in Oro-Medonte

Provincial police are investigating the death of one person following an incident involving a Canadian Pacific Kansas City train in Oro-Medonte.

According to officials, a pedestrian was struck on the train tracks near Horseshoe Valley Road West and Highway 400 in Craighurst around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The individual, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Few details are being released at this time as the investigation is ongoing.

Police closed the area for several hours, it has since reopened.
